I hope Steve intends writing other books in a similar vein. The new Duden Korrektor CC 17 for Adobe InDesign and InCopy 2022 can now be downloaded and tested from the official EPC website.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this book especially to anyone who has experience with word processing and presentation software in general and wants to make inroads into InDesign quickly effectively. As I am a technical IT lecturer, his comments suit my gambit of feelings I experience when I teach a class. Steve has a lovely gentle cheeky sense-of-humour. After the first chapter, I felt confident enough to start authoring material immediately and enthused enough to push buttons and turn dials on my own with confidence. I wanted a book that got “stuck in” to something complete and useful right away. I found Steve’s book was aimed at the right level for someone like myself I am very familiar with creating presentations and course documents using other tools. It is so clearly worded with helpful pictures to make sure you are doing the right things. With the other book, my enthusiasm kept me going but it was slow progress thanks to confusingly described steps and lack of frequent interesting mini-projects. I had tried using a competitor’s book for several weeks before I found Steve’s book. I have learned a lot using this book and have done so *really* quickly.

With cross references between the Course and Compendium, the two parts of the book complement each other perfectly. In fact, most of the books, magazines, posters, and brochures you see were likely made with InDesign as well. And that’s the case no matter which reading format you prefer-whether it’s the physical book made of plant fiber and ink, or the digital version made of electrons in an e-reader. The book you’re reading about right now was created with Adobe InDesign CC.
